Junior Web Developer
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
01. Use prototyping tools, design tools, text editors as well as low-code/no-code tools (like Wix)
02. Translate client and user requirements into meaningful user interface designs
03. Create user profiles, content maps, decision paths/customer journey diagrams
04. Edit, write and design website content
05. Write clean, efficient, secure code to make software functional
06. Optimize the software for maximum speed and scalability
07. Ensure software is responsive across all common device breakpoints
08. Write technical documentation for users and other developers
09. Identifying problems uncovered by feedback and testing, and applying fixes where appropriate
10. Install and monitor web-based events using analytics software.
Required Skills/Traits:
- You’re detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving
- You’re willing to learn and teach others
- You’re an effective communicator and don’t mind working in a team
- You like to analyze complex problems and create simple solutions possible
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics or another relevant field
- You have an excellent command of user experience, design principles, problem-framing skills, and aesthetic visual design skills
- You have any personal projects that include developing web applications and/or native applications
- You’ve got a good handle on the technologies mentioned above and have projects you’re proud to talk about with us.
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of basic graphic design principles (hierarchy, typography, spacing etc.)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS & JavaScript
Nice To Have
-Experience using Wix
- Search engine optimization basics
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Experience using prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD)
- Experience using Visual Studio Code or a related text editor
- 1-2 years of related Web Development experience
