Angie Shakira Martinez Tejera serves as the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Jamaica, carrying out her duties as an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diplomat with concurrent responsibilities in The Bahamas. In this esteemed role, she is dedicated to strengthening diplomatic ties, fostering international cooperation, and nurturing relationships between nations.
With a commitment to building bridges and enhancing diplomatic relations, Ambassador Martinez Tejera works tirelessly to promote understanding and collaboration on the international stage, contributing to the mutual prosperity and progress of her country and her host nations.

Hon. Edmund Bartlett is a distinguished leader with over four decades of dedicated service to his nation, excelling in both tourism and politics. He is known for his innovative and visionary approach, whether guiding his ministry or fostering the growth of Jamaica's tourism industry. Serving as Minister of Tourism since 2007, with a previous track record in various other government positions, Bartlett has been a key advocate for tourism's role in inclusive growth through job creation, partnerships, and community development.
He has initiated important programs, such as the Tourism Linkages Network, which connects tourism with agriculture, entertainment, and manufacturing, benefiting all Jamaicans. Bartlett's leadership led to the establishment of the first Tourism Workers Pension Scheme in the Caribbean, improving the welfare of tourism workers.
Internationally, he is a prominent voice for tourism resilience, having co-founded the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre. He has also held leadership positions in organizations like the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), highlighting his global impact.
Bartlett has received numerous awards for his contribution to tourism. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he introduced the Resilient Corridor concept which created a safe space for tourism in Jamaica, and earned global recognition.
As a politician, he has been a tireless advocate for education, skills training, and the welfare of his constituents. In his personal life, having been married for over 47 years with one child and two grandchildren, he enjoys cricket, dominoes, and dancing.

Senator the Honourable Aubyn Hill is the Minister of Industry, Investment, & Commerce in Jamaica, overseeing a portfolio that includes several key agencies and departments related to trade, commerce, and industry. With over 35 years of private sector experience, he has a diverse international background, having lived in nine countries and conducted business in over 115.
Holding an MBA from Harvard Business School, Senator Hill had a distinguished 21-year career as an international banker in the Middle East. In 2002, he led a management team that successfully turned around National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB), significantly increasing its stock price in just 19 months. Additionally, between 2005 and 2011, he played a pivotal role in divesting the government-owned, loss-making sugar assets, which included five sugar factories and six estates.
He entered Jamaican politics when he was appointed to the Senate in March 2016 and subsequently became its Deputy President. In October 2017, he was appointed CEO of the Prime Minister's Economic Growth Council and in September 2020, Prime Minister Andrew Holness invited him to join his cabinet. initially overseeing areas such as water, land, business process outsourcing, and special projects, In January 2022, he was appointed Minister of Industry, Investment, and Commerce, taking responsibility for 22 agencies and departments. These included the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), the Jamaica National Agency for Accreditation (JANAAC), the Cannabis Licensing Authority, the Trade Board Limited, the Companies Office of Jamaica, the Consumer Affairs Commission, and the Bureau of Standards.
Senator Hill is also a sought-after speaker on finance, business management, and economics at both local and international conferences. He is married to Tamara and has two grown children.

Chief Executive Officer of JFP Limited
Metry Seaga heads JFP Limited, one of the Caribbean’s largest contract-manufacturing furniture companies. He studied at Florida International University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1984.
Upon returning to Jamaica, Seaga managed the family car rental business, and
got involved in the Jamaica U Drive Association (JUDA). He served on the Association’s board as a Director, was elected Vice President and would later go on to become the youngest President of the Association. At the end of his tenure, Mr Seaga delved into his passion for entrepreneurship and manufacturing and started his own business.
With his vast experience in the sector and the capacity to forge meaningful industry growth, he was elected President of the Jamaica Manufacturers Association (JMA) in 2013. In this role, he oversaw the merger of the JMA and the Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA) to form the amalgamated Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA). Mr Seaga served as its President for four years, and now serves as President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.

Mr. Hall is the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Pan Jamaica Group Limited. He has held these posts since April 2023, when the amalgamation of PanJam Investments and certain businesses of the Jamaica Producers Group Limited (JP) resulted in the establishment of the Pan Jamaica Group.
After joining JP in 2002, he became a member of its board in 2004 and is currently Group Managing Director. Mr. Hall is Chairman of several entities including Kingston Wharves Limited, the Blue Power Group Limited, and Lumber Depot Limited. He is also a Director and sits on the Boards of Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited, Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited, Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited, Sagicor Investments Jamaica Limited and Eppley Caribbean Property Fund Limited. He has served as Board Chairman of Scotia Group Jamaica Limited, the Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited, and Scotia Investment Limited, and as a Director on the Boards of the Jamaica Stock Exchange and the Bank of Jamaica.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Washington University, his Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School. In 2022, the Government of Jamaica recognized his contribution to national life by conferring upon him the award of Officer of Distinction in the rank of Commander.

Stefan Richards, a global citizen with roots in Kingston, Jamaica, has nurtured a dynamic journey spanning four nations: France, the United States, the United Kingdom, and presently Mexico. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he seamlessly bridges cultures and languages, his purpose revolving around elevating Jamaica as a haven for professional and familial advancement. Stefan's academic background includes a bachelor's degree from Vassar College, New York, and a master's in Development Economics from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
Post-academia, he embarked on a career with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), crafting sustainable growth strategies for Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2020, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Nigel Clarke, named Stefan as Jamaica’s representative to the IDB's Board of Directors, overseeing historic Caribbean lending. Currently with the Boston Consulting Group, he remains steadfast in his commitment to fortifying industry and commerce across the region.

Nicholas Sutherland is a seasoned Foreign Direct Investment and Business Development Professional actively executing Jamaica's economic development strategies. With a dedicated focus on Latin America and China, particularly within the BPO (contact centers), hotel, and logistics domains, he spearheads initiatives to attract investments.
Furthermore, his leadership extends to overseeing the Jamaican government's Economic Diplomacy Program, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO). His multifaceted expertise also encompasses substantial experience as a marketing and export manager, boasting a successful track record within the Caribbean and Latin American markets.
Adept at diplomatic communication, Nicholas has cultivated an expansive global network of connections, complemented by a profound comprehension of cultural intricacies that can significantly influence foreign investment engagement and consideration. His fluency in both English and Spanish, bolsters his capacity to navigate diverse international contexts.

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, Julian currently operates as Group Chief Investment Strategist at Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB). In addition to this, he has played a significant role in developing Jamaica's capital market.
His work experience includes positions at foremost Jamaican financial institutions—Head of Treasury and Investment Services at Dehring, Bunting and Golding Limited (now Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited); and Senior Trader and Cambio Manager at JMMB. In addition, he has partnered and consulted with various international financial institutions and the Government of Jamaica in structuring Global Bond Issues. As a former Managing Director of Lets Investment Limited, his leadership resulted in the boutique operation becoming a global player in trading internationally issued securities.
A founding member and current President of the Jamaica Securities Dealers Association (JSDA), Julian also serves various institutions as a Director, including JMMB Securities Limited, JMMB International Limited, JMMB Puesto deBolsa and the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

Founder and Director of the Design Agencies Magma, Hyperbrand and Partn&rs, he has more than 20 years of experience in visual communication projects for influential brands and public and private institutions in Peru and Latin America. He has led numerous strategic communication, brand redesign and comprehensive digital communication projects. He led the formation of the digital area of the Epensa Group and was responsible for its four news portals, all of them massively distributed.
He is Past-President and current Director of the Peruvian Association of Design Companies (ADÑ). In addition to having taught at the University of Lima, he is a director and strategic advisor to companies and startups.

As an experienced lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry, Dr Edie is skilled in Microsoft Word, Sales, Management, Adobe Photoshop, and Leadership. As a strong media and communication professional, he is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Business Administration focused on Business Administration and Management, General, from the Mona School of Business and Management at the University of the West Indies.

Mr. Sydney Thwaites’ career has spanned 29 years in the financial services, petrochemical and consulting industries. He has a solid track record of organizational leadership, developing and negotiating long-term partnerships with some of the largest companies in the world.
He has earned a reputation as a dynamic and empowering leader, a trustworthy and ethical partner, and an executive with a keen understanding of the markets in which he operates. Mr. Thwaites currently serves on the boards of Lubricating Specialties Company Jamaica Limited, Top 1 Oil Jamaica Limited, Fleetwood Jamaica Limited, and serves as Treasurer for the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association.

Dr. Marlene Street Forrest is the Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) and Director of both its subsidiaries. Her mandate is to continue the process of developing the JSE Group and particularly the Exchange, in an atmosphere of transparency and fairness while utilizing appropriate technology in providing the greatest possible efficiencies to the market.
She has a wealth of experience having worked in senior management positions at varying private and public sector organizations here in Jamaica and overseas.
It is under her stewardship that the JSE became demutualized and the US Denominated Market and the Junior Market were launched. She also spearheaded the Registrar Division of the Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) when she served as General Manager for this subsidiary of the JSE.

Management Office at DBJ
Christopher Andrew-Marc Brown was appointed as General Manager for the Project
Management Office at the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ). He is an open-minded, creative
thinker who enables thoughtful discussions around solutions. In his role at the DBJ, he is
responsible for designing innovative financial solutions and implementing programmes that drive
private sector led growth for Micro, Small and Medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). He also
manages the Bank’s technical assistance portfolio which focuses on strengthening the MSME
ecosystem for improved productivity.
Christopher has worked on Government programmes funded by international development
partners such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the European Union and the World
Bank in the areas of MSME development and energy sustainability projects.
He also currently serves as the Programmes Manager for the Boosting Innovation, Growth and
Entrepreneurship and Ecosystems (BIGEE) programme, financed by the GOJ and IDB which is
geared at developing the financing and supporting technical assistance required in each stage of
the business and innovation lifecycle.

Polibio M. Valenzuela Scheker focuses his practice in financial and banking services, advice on capital markets, mergers and acquisition matters, international business transactions, development and operations of hotels, and conventional and renewable energy.
Represents on a regular basis lenders and borrowers in working capital loans, asset-based financings and project financing; issuers and underwriters in securities offerings and securitizations; private entities in restructurings and reorganizations; financial institutions, including banks, exchange bureaus, broker/dealers and investment funds, in transactional and regulatory matters. He also represents sellers and buyers in mergers and acquisitions of business entities and assets, in areas that include banking and financing, retail, utilities and hospitality services, and assists producers, developers and investment funds in the development of energy projects.
Polibio, who is admitted to practice law in the Dominican Republic and New York, has worked as attorney in the Dominican Republic, Houston, Texas and Washington DC; in preeminent global firms and in the Legal Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Likewise, he regularly participates in discussion forums on securitizations, trusts, public offerings, restructurings and due diligence processes.
He currently serves as Co-Chair of the International Finance & Securities Committee of the American Bar Association, where he has been a member since 2009, and is also Vice-President of Centrocámara de Comercio de la República Dominicana, the chamber of commerce of all the Central American countries and the Dominican Republic. Polybius is also an independent Board Member of several corporations.
