Senior Graphic Artist & Team Lead

We are looking for a highly reliable, experienced and mature Senior Graphic Artist to join our small media and content production team in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the team and their projects, dealing with the general HR functions for the team, and ensuring the highest levels of productivity and quality are met.

Job type: Full-time

Work hours: Mon-Fri: 10 AM - 6PM (Tuesdays, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM)


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide leadership to the team, including mentoring, coaching and supervising

  • Support HR functions, including leave processing, recruitment tasks and orienting new team members, monitoring and evaluating staff performance, and setting job expectations for staff

  • Ensure the highest levels of productivity and quality are maintained

  • Work collaboratively with team members and other members of the organisation to conceptualize, design and produce visual content for a variety of media and content production projects

  • Create and develop high-quality graphics, logos and other visual elements

  • Utilize a variety of software applications to create and edit visual content, including Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools

  • Work with other stakeholders to develop and manage project timelines and budgets

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the team is producing cutting-edge and innovative visual content

  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in creating and designing visual content

  • Excellent communication, teamwork and project management skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self motivated and self-directed

  • Reliable

  • Willingness to learn

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in graphic design and media production

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field

  • Must be available full-time

  • Any additional, relevant certificates and qualifications should be submitted
